"There is a way that nature speaks, that land speaks. Most of the time we are simply not patient enough, quiet enough, to pay attention to the story." ~Linda Hogan

Blanket of Leaves on Turning Tree
Watercolor Painting: watercolor dye on watercolor paper, 16 x 12"
What has Patience? Trees that grow one ring at a time. Trees that live hundreds of years. Trees that hold the soil and cleanse the air. Trees that change in small, but significant ways throughout the course of a year.
Trees are designed to wait patiently. They wait for new roots, new branches, new leaves. They wait until their leaves explode with color before falling to the earth; they wait through the toughest winter storms; they wait for their flowers to bloom; and they wait for an explosion of fruit.
Paints: Fiber reactive, powder-based, watercolor dyes
