"There is a way that nature speaks, that land speaks.  Most of the time we are simply not patient enough, quiet enough, to pay attention to the story." ~Linda Hogan

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens cannot change the world.  Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." ~ Margaret Meade

Tree Planting Sites - Improve every breath we take, plant a tree! Trees clean the air, combat pollution, give us nourishing fruit and make our surroundings more peaceful, safe and beautiful!

American Forests.org - "Our mission is to grow a healthier world."  American Forests is the oldest U.S. conservation group, founded in 1875! Their goal is simple: To "have healthy forest ecosystems for every community."  They actively promote this through outstanding programs and show them self to be financially responsible.

The Wilderness Society - Their mission is to "to protect wilderness and inspire Americans to care for our wild places."   They are a watchdog group for wildlife and fair environmental laws.  They were a major participant in the writing and passing of the landmark legislation, the Wilderness Act, which, in part, protects 56 million acres of pristine land and spectacular ecosystems in Alaska, 8 million acres of special desert lands in California and another 43 million acres throughout the rest of the U.S.
